About Us

Luxury Indian footwear label, Crimzon was conceptualised by designer Sonali Dalwani in 2003 to bring international finesse to shoes with an Indian flair. Filling a gaping void in the indigenous market, creating shoes that were hitherto unavailable in India that propelled Dalwani to launch her brand.

For over 15 years, every creation from Crimzon strives to tell a story and celebrate individuality. Handcrafted for comfort is the foundation on which every Crimzon shoe is built. Traditional opulence is balanced with a modern sensibility to ensure collections are as versatile as they are wearable.

Ever since its launch, the brand has created a foothold owing to its commitment to uncompromising quality, superior craftsmanship and a sophisticated aesthetic. Crimzon walks the middle ground between current and classic, with a particularly ardent patronage for its signature lightweight wedges that boast the perfect arch support.

Every Crimzon shoe is eco-conscious and is handcrafted using vegan leather. The brand also offers bespoke services as well as a dedicated bridal line. Crimzon has showcased its collections at Lakme Fashion Week in 2009 and 2010, and regularly participates in exhibitions like IMC, Bridal Asia and Design One. Their clientele spans cities like London, New York, Sri Lanka, Hong Kong and Dubai, including celebrities such as Madhuri Dixit-Nene, Priyanka Chopra, Vidya Balan and Alia Bhatt among others.

Crimzon is available at their two flagship stores in Mumbai (Hughes Road and Juhu) as well as online store www.crimzonworld.com. You can also find the brand at multi-designer stores across India like Aza, Carma and Evoluzione

About Sonali

Footwear and accessory designer Sonali Dalwani entered the fashion industry in 1989 where she worked with an export house to create embroideries for French and Italian fashion houses. Sonali also did a stint with a company that manufactured shoes for the European market. Her early years saw her working in close quarters with luxury international brands including Karl Lagerfeld, Mary McFadden, Pons Quintana and Emanuel Ungaro.

She further enhanced this hands-on experience by pursuing a course in the art of shoe sculpting from the prestigious Arsutoria School in Milan and New York that went on to strengthen her technical know-how.

It was when Dalwani noticed a dearth of homegrown footwear of international quality that she decided to launch Crimzon in 2003. Handcrafted for Indian women, the brand has now come to be lauded for its versatile designs, focus on comfort and superior quality.

Dalwani’s personal minimalistic sensibility spills over to her designs, resulting in creations that promise maximum impact (and comfort) with minimum effort. Inspired by nature, travel, fashion and interiors, Sonali is constantly absorbing every day experiences which reflect in her designs.
